The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly and attractive attentive young lady. She allowed us to pick our table. I found the back patio to be very relaxing and feel like we had our privacy. The waiter quickly came to our table for drink orders. We had difficulty choosing our apps since so many sounded delicious, so we had 3 between the 2 of us. The foie gras parfait was delicious but the toast it was served with was too small and too few for the large serving of foie gras. Not a bad complaint... we just ordered more table bread. I ordered the pork chops with cheese grits and it was cooked perfectly. Pork tends to be dry but not here. We had a very positive experience. Very private. The restaurant was crowded but you never heard them. The staff was superb and the food delicious... I have no complaints! I will make this a regular place. It definitely earned it Michelin status.
Well, I just had another incredible meal at Joe's last night. I have to say whenever my husband and I decide to go to dinner, we're hard pressed to find a restaurant that satisfies all senses like Joe's does. The patio is romantic and bustling at the same time; the wine list offers excellent choices at all price points. We enjoyed a lovely Pinot; the 2005 Domaine Reverdy which had a silky body and a long finish that was quite satisfying. For starters we shared the Grilled Ahi Tuna with Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras. The tuna was perfectly cooked; a nicely seared outside encasing lovely pink flesh, complimented by the velvety foie gras. I could have made a meal of it My entree of Pork Tenderloin Crepenette with roasted garlic mashed potatoes was superb. Tender and flavorful, I left nothing on my plate. My husband had the New Zealand snapper - the with potato scale and yes, the potatoes actually looked like scales. He said it was very good. I'm not a fish eater, so I took his word. We were much too full for dessert, so just enjoyed the last of our wine and relaxed on the patio. We didn't feel rushed at all! Overall, a delicious experience.
I had brunch here last weekend and had a great time! I ended up getting the crab peeky hash, but it took me a long to figure out what to order since everything looked amazing. Service was great, and the location can't be beat. There are a ton of great places on Abbott Kinney - this one being my favorite!

It's really hard to tell with Abbot Kinney restaurants from the outside, whether it's going to be big or small. Joe's is small and cramped. The tables are...

I have always wanted to try Joe's Restaurant, but never get good excuse to. Since Restaurant Week is up, I am in! The place seems very small, but as soon...

One of the best restaurants in LA. It is very deserving of its Michelin star. The decor is very cute it is located in a converted house on Abbot Kinney....
