Having the word "The" in your band name was a great way to reach to the top of the charts a few years ago (the Strokes, the Hives, the White Stripes... you remember). The trend may be fizzling out in music, but it seems to be working for Craig Trager and his bars, including the Woods, the Well, the Fifth, and now El Bar (that's Spanish for, "The Bar"). Like Trager's other venues, El Bar features a cozy atmosphere, friendly vibes and stiff drinks made with, as the name may suggest, tequila. Other Latin-inspired features include bullfighter tapestries, Spanish and Mexican art, and an actual bull's head above the bar! The specialty cocktails and sangrias should have the gringos speaking Spanish by the end of the night.
