Head to Beverly Soon for spicy tofu bowls, the barbecue house specialties and the banchan (cucumber, eggplant, bean sprouts and kimchee) that just won’t quit. Located in a low-key strip mall on the northwest corner of Olympic and Vermont, the small café has a little log cabin feel to it with tables and walls that look like tree trunks. The standard Korean fare will suit you and your wallet. Try it for lunch and dinner and see if you don’t burn a hole in your gut; “spicy” isn’t just a bunch of red pepper flakes, so pack an extra bottle of water in your messenger bag in case the water service is too slow.
