Gerlach's Grill

Gerlach's Grill is hardly more than a stand adjacent to a liquor store, but this cramped little kitchen turns out a badass menu. Here you'll find a plethora of items with an emphasis on both Middle Eastern and Mexican cuisines. A couple of tables sit outside, but this place is almost strictly takeout.

From the Middle East come hummus, dolmades, falafel and kebabs, which are served in huge portions with rice and salad or soup, plus pita bread. Mexican-influenced favorites include an entire school of seafood tacos (salmon, tuna, shrimp, scallops, sea bass, squids and more), a ceviche tostada, carne asada taco, and lamb burrito. Gerlach's also serves grilled fish dinners, including sea scallops, salmon and mahi-mahi. Wander next door to pick out a modest wine and you have yourself an affordable feast.
