It took a little refurbishing to transform what was formally Spanish wine bar Bodega de Cordova into Sheddy’s, a good old-fashioned beer-swigging pub. The dark hued, wood flanked bar is perfect for expats, beer snobs and their wino friends who want to talk soccer over a pint and some cheese. In addition to a selection of internationally sourced wines, the bar also offers 20 different bottled brews from equally as exotic locations. But for those that don't want to get too adventurous with their beer, Sheddy’s serves classics like Murphy’s Stout and Maudite on tap. Order a pint of Abita and fill up the patio with a few of your drunkest friends—or grab the hotty sitting at the bar and duck into an intimate curtained off booth for two. FYI: bring in a Pacific The Grove theater movie stub (on the same day) and get half-off your first item.
