Whether you go because of the taste, the value, or the dearth of alternatives in the neighborhood, Cheech’s is an always-reliable and popular pizza parlor in Los Feliz. The multiple two-for-one deals are legendary, and for good reason: two medium one-topping pizzas for $12 is a pretty unbeatable deal. Don’t expect anything fancy like arugula and goat cheese, but they do have all the standard toppings – and they also serve sandwiches, a pretty tasty lasagna and surprisingly fresh and good salads. As a worthwhile stop before a show at the Greek or the Vista Theatre, you can grab one of the few tables on the sidewalk and watch the passing action on Hillhurst Avenue. The staff is always friendly and easy going (could it be all the positive messages from the self-help guru on the wall?), and the casual atmosphere ensures you’ll never be rushed.
