Hinano is easy to overlook amidst the hubbub of Venice Beach and the noisier food-and-drink options that streak down Washington Blvd. toward the boardwalk. Hinano is a genuine old dive, which is a welcome fixture on a landscape with lots of turnover and an increasing amount of trend. Shoot some pool, soak up some tried-and-true tunes from weathered barroom rockers, and definitely sink your teeth into a well-seasoned burger, the house specialty (I recommend the bacon cheeseburger). Burger snobs won't be seduced away from Father's Office and its peers, but those places ain't at the beach. There's sawdust on the floor and the bathrooms are the approximate size of your coffin. Good times. Oh, but no french fries... just Doritos or Fritos to go along with your meat.
