EuroPane is a place to while away the afternoon as if you were in Paris. If the vibrant honeydew and cantaloupe walls and funky art don’t convince you, then maybe the chocolate croissants or chocolate-caramel-sea salt French macarons will. Pressed ham and cheese on fresh EuroPane bread and a foamy latte seal the deal. If you’re going decaf, then try the berry tea or ginger lemonade, both made from scratch in-house. Can’t spend much time? Raid the prepared foods case for fresh salads and sides, and don’t forget to take one of the gorgeous pastries to go. With the deft touch of former La Brea Bakery pastry chef Sumi Chang, they’re in a totally different class than the goodies at Lovebirds Café & Bakery across the street.
TIPS: Snag a spot in the small free lot behind the bakery (entrance off Mentor) if you can. Take home some homemade granola—Sumi is rumored to have perfected it in her days at La Brea Bakery.Did you know? You can share lists of your favorite places and events.
